Profile/Abstract:
Dr Leong Chan-Hoong is the Head of Psychology Programme at the SIM University. He obtained his PhD of Psychology from Victoria University of Wellington ( New Zealand). His research interests include socio-psychological adaptation in acculturating individuals, intergroup relations between ethnic cultural groups and intercultural effectiveness in the workplace.

His research has been published in both regional and international journals and books, including the International Journal of Intercultural Relations, Journal of Cross Cultural Psychology, Cambridge Handbook of Acculturation Psychology, and Progress in Asian Social Psychology. He is an ad hoc reviewer for Applied Psychology: An International Review and the International Journal of Intercultural Relations.

Chan-Hoong will discuss the psychological challenges behind human-computer interface and the factors that moderate effective e-learning and e-teaching.
